Raised in Long Island, NY, fingers on the piano keys, Sean Forde's musical journey found its roots. Today, located in Lindenhurst, Sean's musical interests have grown to include a variety of instruments (Cello, Guitar, Piano), styles (Folk, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classical) and mediums (Original Songs, Film Scores, and even an assortment of music education resources).
Sean's compositions are a testament to the influence of artists like The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Radiohead. His songs seamlessly weave introspective lyrics with nuanced musical experimentation, inviting listeners to explore the intricate layers within each piece.
But what sets Sean apart is his enduring commitment to music's transformative power. After over a decade teaching elementary music, he developed a profound admiration for folk music's capacity to foster empathy and forge connections within communities.
Today, Sean plays a pivotal role in Music Will's tech department, extending support to music educators nationwide. His approach resonates with the ethos of folk legend Pete Seeger—driven by a passion for educating, supporting, and entertaining through music while emphasizing the importance of creating bonds and fostering connections.
Over the past 15 years, Sean has taken a hands-on approach to release his original music. He's been the driving force behind every aspect, from writing and performing to producing and promoting. These dedicated efforts have yielded eight albums and a catalog of over 100 songs that consistently amass thousands of streams annually.
Sean's music is not confined to the stereo; it also graces the world of film. He has composed for eight short films, earning nominations for Best Original Musical Score in 2021 (Noah’s Flood) and 2018 (Wicked Children) at the New Haven 48 Hr Film Festival.
